what is this? if you notice large pools of liquid in your cream cheese, and a dried out surface, the cheese has definitely begun to spoil and should not be consumed. a small amount of liquid on top of cream cheese is normal. it's natural and you don't need to worry about it (see the photo earlier in the article).
