sooji or semolina, which is also called rava, is also a granular version of maida. like maida, sooji is also coarsely ground endosperm of wheat without bran and germ. sooji is widely used to make idlis, uthpam, upma, halwa and laddus. while, sooji is similar to maida flour in nutritional values.
