strictly speaking, polska kielbasa translates to "polish sausage" and refers to any sausage from poland. there's a huge variety of them. more practically speaking, outside of poland the term usually refers to a heavily spiced pork sausage that's been smoked. smoked sausage just means sausage that's been smoked.
