  1. 2 tbsp vegetable oil.
  2. 1 large onion, chopped.
  3. 3 garlic cloves, crushed.
  4. 1 green chilli, deseeded and finely chopped (optional)
  5. thumb-sized piece ginger, grated.
  6. 1 tsp garam masala.
  7. 2 tsp ground fenugreek.
  8. 3 tbsp tomato puree.
