Can you roast marshmallows over stove?

i used a gas stove burner, but you could also roast your marshmallows in a fireplace or over a sterno fuel can or a mini hibachi. the restaurant we ate at used a mini hibachi, and it was so fun to use. to toast marshmallows inside, place your marshmallow on your skewer, then roast it over your flame.
