flavor boosters

  1. olives (nicoise, kalamata, black or green) - salty.
  2. toasted nuts (pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, walnuts or almonds) - nutty (of course)
  3. bacon - smoky/salty.
  4. dried fruits - sweet, chewy.
  5. cheese - creamy, salty (goat cheese and feta are my favorites)
  6. homemade croutons.
