it tastes like bacon, but the consistency is thinner and crispier. most recently, i used crispy prosciutto to prepare a very simple appetizer by topping thin artisan crackers with brie, jam, and crispy prosciutto. it was full of fall flavor, thanks to the fig and pear jams paired with the prosciutto.
