drain the chickpeas and throw into the blender, with the olive oil, a pinch of salt, and a splash of water. remove the skin from the clove of garlic (that's one of the little segments, not the whole bulb) and cut it into really small pieces. add the garlic into the blender, and then blend! keep going until it's smooth.
