lay all the slices on the parchment paper sheet so that their edges are touching. place another sheet of parchment paper on top of the shortbread rounds. using a rolling pin, gently press down on the dough rounds to push the edges into each other. keep rolling until a smooth sheet of marbled cookie dough has formed.
